FAQ

What types of massage do you offer?
Deep Tissue, Neuromuscular Therapy (NMT), Structural Integration, Cranial Mobilization. Looking for something in particular? Give me a call, I would love to discuss a detailed program for you.

Will a massage make me feel better?

Yes. Massage is designed to improve many things. Things like stress, tight muscles, numbness in arms and hands, injuries, posture, pain or restriction in joints, tennis elbow, carpel tunnel syndrome, headaches, heel pain, sciatica, lower back and hip pain, just to name a few.

Will a single massage produce results?
Yes and no. For certain physical or stress related problems, one massage may have an immediate impact. But for many people, long-term massage treatments have produced the greatest impact and the greatest rewards. Many of my massage treatments are designed for multiple sessions. I would be glad to speak with you about your desired results. If you do decide to become a regular client, please take advantage of our discounted packages.

What’s the difference between your services and the services provided at the new $39 massage centers?
These new $39 massage centers are building their business on quantity. Their goal is to get as many clients into their offices as possible. They are often staffed by new therapists, and often charge more for any specialized service, such as deep tissue massage. With massage, you definitely get what you pay for.

What are the Benefits of Massage?
There are many reasons to make massage therapy a part of your healthy lifestyle. Receiving massage on a regular basis can bring balance to the tone of the muscles. It can help stabilize hormones, such as, serotonin, cortisol, and growth hormone. All of which are good for feeling good, bonding, tissue repair, and sleeping well.

How often should someone receive massage?
Well, that depends. If a car accident, fall, or some other type of accident has physically traumatized you, you may need a massage three times a week for three weeks to relieve the intensity of the pain. Or if you have been dealing with a chronic pain for years and you want to get rid of the pattern of pain, it may require a program consisting of appointments once a week for a year. If you are feeling well and your goal is to take charge of your health, a maintenance program of once a month may work just fine for you.

Remember, to maintain the life of your car, you regularly bring your car in for an oil change every 3,000 miles. You should demand no less for the eminence of your body.

What can I expect at my appointment?
My goal is to help you totally relax, and enjoy your massage. My office is a cell free and pager free zone – please turn your cell phones and pagers off before our session. Because my rooms and services are customized, let me know what’s comfortable for you. Want the music a little softer? Not a problem. Need adjustments to the table for more comfort? Just let me know. I’m there to make sure your experience is an enjoyable one.

Your Experience
I take great pride in servicing my clients. Please let me know if you have any questions or comments before or after your massage.
